Unlock iphone old bootrom 3gs

First thing to do is jailbreak your Iphone. you will see the link here ------------>

after having the jailbreak. you must have these basebands:

• baseband 05.11.07
• basband 05.12.01
• baseband 05.13.04
• iPad baseband 06.15.00

without that baseband you can upgrade your baseband to Ipad baseband 6.15.00( Be careful)

add repo666.ultrasnow.com on your sources on Cydia.

add cydia.hackulo.us repo on your sources on Cydia.

search for ultrasnow fixer for ios 5.1 and install

search for ultrasnow. and install.


Now you can insert any sim. REMEMBER: always remove your simcard while unlocking to ensure your unlock!

Iphone 3gs IOS 5.1 with or without baseband 6.15 untethered jailbreak

Untethered jailbreak is only available for those who have OLD bootrom. (for now)

Things we need.

1. IOS 5.1

 2. Redsnow.( i dont prefer snowbreeze.<-- have many bugs on ios 5.1) link:  redsnow


 step 1.

boot your iphone 3gs to DFU mode.

Then Run redsnow. choose Extras and choose PWNED DFU.

next one. Choose custom IPSW and select your newly downloaded IOS 5.1 IPSW.

after that you will see another IPSW with username: NO_BB_XXXXXXX

then restore it using Itunes. hold shift and click restore. Choose the NO_BB_XXXX.IPSW

wait for it to finish.

After that boot again to DFU mode.

open redsnow. Choose "Select Ipsw" choose your Downloaded Stock IPSW.

go back. click JAILBREAK.

There will be other options. Just choose "INSTALL CYDIA"

Then you have your untethered Iphone 3gs Running on IOS 5.1
 

Iphone 3gs with ipad baseband 6.15.00 Restore/bricked

 NOTE: This is not for users with iphone that has been manufactured later that week 34 of 2011.
              - For windows Users only.

This is for 3gs users having problems restoring their iphone 3gs with Ipad baseband 6.15.00

Basically when restoring we experience 1015 error in which can be fix.

There are many choices to restore your iphone 3gs with ipad baseband.

1st one is by restoring it to 4.1 while apple is still signing it.

While old bootrom users can choose what IOS they want. basically they won't need ShSh blobs or blahblah

same goes for me. (lucky me :P)

Here's what we need: 

1. Download the IOS firmware of your iphone 3gs.. (choose 4.1 if you have New bootrom / not sure)

2. Download Ireb on ih8snow website. Link: Ireb

3. Itunes. Newest version is preferred.


4. Basic understanding.


Okay, now were all set! Let's start. boot your iphone into DFU mode. <-- How?

Steps:
 
1. Insert your Iphone on your pc/laptop using USB cord. And turn off your phone.

2. Press power/sleep and home button simultaneously for 10 seconds

3. Let go of power/sleep button without letting go of home button for 20 seconds or until the screen Goes

    pure black/blank.

Now open Itunes. and you will see the restore button.

Press "SHIFT" on your keyboard and press restore. (don't let go of the shift button)

Choose your downloaded IPSW(4.1)

wait until error 1015 pops out.

When error 1015 pops out. and close your Itunes

Open IREB. (on windows 7 pc, Right click Run as administrator)

choose recovery loop mode fixer.

then click the first option.

And now your Iphone is fixed.
